15 Painfully Apparent Facts That Might Change Your Outlook
Who hasn’t heard such a topic title before? Whether you’ve been on the receiving or the delivering end of that comment, we all know the feeling when somebody says something that is so painfully apparent we just can’t help but give a smart-arse answer. Well, today we are going to be looking at things somewhat like that.
The only difference is that although these facts and declaration should be completely apparent, they are still capable of making you think more. For example, if someone tells you that orange is orange in color, you will think, “Wow, that’s an apparent declaration that changed my life in no way whatsoever.” Now, as apparent as that declaration is, it still has the potential to change your perspective. In spite of its apparentness, you still may not have thought of these things in precisely that manner. It just shifted your outlook. That is exactly what we are aiming for with this fact-fab list.
These are 15 painfully apparent facts that might change your outlook!:
1) They are called movies because they move (etymology - "motion pictures").
Movies, also known as films, are a type of visual communication which uses moving pictures and sound to tell stories or teach people something.

7) If you walk all the way around the Globe at the equator, your head will have traveled farther than your feet.
This is because of the circumference of Earth: ~131,340,690 feet. Let's say the walker is six feet tall. And for the sake of argument, let's compare the distance his/her feet travel vs the top of his/her head. So from the equation of 2*π*R ( where R is 6 feet).
His/Her head would travel ~ 131,340,727 feet. Or about 37 feet further.
8) When you suck on hard candies, you're basically enjoying your favorite flavored spit.
9) The buttons at the bottom of your shirt are provided extra (in case you lose a button) and If the last button on the shirt is above the belt then you need an extra button at the bottom of the shirt ( in case when you tuck the shirt in, at the very front the two sides of the shirt tails separate and make for a gap in the shirt right below your belly button due to such lack of alignment it can make the shirt look sloppy).
10) Almonds grow on trees.
In fact almonds are stone-fruits or drupes, and although they are “culinary nuts”, they are not botanical nuts.
11) A female explorer in Spanish is an exploradora (Dora the Explorer).
12) A cupcake is a cake...that is cup sized.
13) You go to college to pay for college (even in countries with "free" university, you still have to pay taxes).
15) The word "alphabet" comes from the first two Greek letters "alpha" and "beta."
